Annual Hastings Science Fair

When: Jan 31, 2026 Location: Hastings Gym

The Science Fair is a fun opportunity for students to design and perform a science experiment and then share it with other students at Hastings. Student participants will decide on the subject matter of the experiment, perform the experiment at home, and then create a display explaining their work and results. The displays will be placed on exhibit the evening of the Science Fair. The student scientists answer questions from parents, friends, and visiting scientists. This is not a competition and participation in the Hastings Science Fair is optional. Each participating student scientist will receive an official Hastings Science Fair medal.

Volunteer requests will be advertised nearer the event! We invite parents to attend as 'visiting scientists' as well as volunteers to help the night of the event.

How to Sign Up

An ONLINE REGISTRATION FORM is available at the link sent out via the Hastings
Bulletin emails. Please be sure to read the rules of the Hastings Science Fair before
signing the form (below). For students who do not have access to this registration link or
for any questions, please contact Anna Wolfson and Vimala Selvaraj at sciencefair@hastings-pto.org .

The deadline for 2026 registration is 12 pm on January 20th.

Please note that students can work in a team with a maximum of 4 students. Individual registrations must be submitted for each student (including siblings). This is not a drop-off event. Adults must accompany their children.
