About Our School PTO

 

The Maria Hastings PTO (Parent Teacher Organization) unites parents, teachers, and staff to enhance the school experience for our Hastings students. All parents are welcomed to volunteer, share their ideas and get involved. Hastings is a special school where diverse families contribute valuable experience and knowledge to provide enrichment for our students and community as a whole. 

  • A 501(c) non-profit organization, the PTO raises funds every year through member donations, Harvest 5k run/walk, restaurant nights, spirit wear and more!

  • Membership is free, each year members activate their membership toolkit profile to gain access to the school directory, receive weekly newsletters and more!

  • The PTO hosts annual events such as the Welcome Back Picnic, Harvest Festival, Science Fair, Book Fair, Read-A-Thon, Multi-cultural Nighty, Spring Social and more!

  • Funds raised by the PTO supports our educators and awards mini-grants to classrooms throughout the school year to bolster the experience for our students.

  • PTO coffees and meetings take place during the year and all are welcome!

 

The Executive Committee is elected annually at the end of year PTO meeting, by presentation of the nominating committee.
